Contractor/Volunteer/Other School Personnel Permit

General Requirements

To apply, you must:

• Be a U.S. citizen or hold eligible documents (Policy 5202, Minimum Requirements for the Licensure of Professional/Paraprofessional Personnel and Advanced Salary Classifications)
• Have recommendation from the county Superintendent
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a satisfactory background check
  • Please note: Pursuant to W. Va. Code §18A-3-2a and W. Va. C.S.R. §126-136-9, applicants submitting Form 11 must complete a fingerprint-based background check through IdentoGO, which includes both West Virginia State Police and FBI records.

Renewal

To renew, you must: 

• Be a U.S. citizen or hold eligible documents (Policy 5202)
• Have recommendation from the county Superintendent
• Be at least 18 years of age
