Use Form 24C to apply for a restricted permit to participate in a clinical experience within the West Virginia public or non-public accredited school system or within an out-of-state public school system.
The Restricted Clinical Experience Permit is issued to individuals who do not meet all the requirements for the Clinical Experience Permit and have not passed Praxis content exams. This one (1) year permit must be issued before you participate in the clinical experience. It includes clinical experiences for teachers, administrators and student support personnel.
Be physically, mentally, and emotionally qualified
Have recommendation from the county Superintendent and designated college or university official
Education Requirements
To apply, you must:
Be enrolled in good standing in a regionally accredited, in-state or out-of-state program which leads to licensure as a teacher, administrator or student support personnel
Have a content area GPA of 3.0 or higher
All required Praxis II Content exams must have been attempted and failed at least twice
This includes each subtest in the Elementary Education Endorsement series.
Any remaining subtests not yet passed must also befailed at least two (2) times before a candidate becomes eligible for this permit.
