Certification Applications

Advanced salary/advanced degree recognition is limited to those who hold a Professional Teaching, Student Support, or Administrative Certification or equivalent.

This fee reimbursement is only for teachers or counselors who are employed in the West Virginia public school system and hold, or are working to acquire, National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) Certification.

Authorizations are issued to individuals working in a public school-related specialization not included in the Professional or Career and Technical Education Certificate.

Form 45 is used to receive official recognition and/or apply for the associated state salary supplement for National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) Certification.

Form 45R is used to renew official recognition and/or the associated state salary supplement.
